About beatrice & lulu

The sewing bug hit me at an early age and developed into a craft of which I am very proud. While raising a family and working I continued to develop my skills as I created clothing and home décor items. Now I have the knowledge to provide a product that you would be proud to own.

In my Connecticut studio I design my bags in a traditional style with fashionable and unique fabrics. After selecting one of my wonderful fabrics to be the focal point for no more than three handbags, I vary the ribbons, handles and coordinating fabrics such that each bag virtually becomes one of a kind. The evolution of each design further inspires my creativity for future bags. The accessories take their cues from the fabrics and ribbons I use in the handbags.

My customers have come to expect that they have purchased a unique and original handbag. Each handbag is a part of me and my hope is that you will want to make one of my handbags part of your wardrobe. Women from coast to coast are wearing beatrice & lulu originals.

One more thing – to keep the colors vibrant and protected, all of the handbags are treated with ScotchGard™.

The one question I am always asked is the origin of the names, Beatrice and Lulu; they are real people. My Aunt Lulu called me Beatrice!
